SACNAS Will Host It’s Annual Conference, “National Diversity In STEM” This October.

SACNAS will host it’s annual conference, “National Diversity in STEM” this October.

(adapted from SACNAS website) SACNAS isSociety for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science – is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM. Thanks to many of Dr. Richmond’s former students, SACNAS now includes Pacific Islanders and has a Hawaii chapter (I believe).

And, this October, the non-profit organization will host the largest multidisciplinary and multicultural STEM diversity event in the country!  This event will be held virtually from October 19-24 and the registration fees for students are low by comparison.  SACNAS focus is empowering the student and they provide many networking and professional development events for those that register. This event is one you don’t want to miss!
