Anela Eliza Kainani Duenas graduated from NMC with an AS degree in Natural Resource Management. She completed her internship with BECQ and learned how to conduct ecosystem surveys and identified the genus of the seagrass, algae, and coral at long term marine monitoring sites in the CNMI. The collected data from doing this are analyzed and put into the database to be compared with previous years. This study is to observe trends and statuses in the coral reef to identify possible threats and damages in these fragile marine environments.
